The goal of this web-based toolkit is to provide tools and information to support local health departments (LHD) in working collaboratively with community partners to connect and communicate so that no one group is disproportionately affected in an emergency.
The objectives of this toolkit are to help local health departments:
• Incorporate vulnerable and at-risk populations in all aspects of emergency planning
• Increase your knowledge of how to build relationships with non-traditional partners including those who serve vulnerable populations
• Increase your understanding of the methods to engage the community around emergency preparedness issues
• Increase your awareness of the need to effectively and accurately translate materials
